Hart NYT Reporter: Jim Robbins

This semester I have decided to follow the work of Jim Robbins, an environmental reporter from the New York Times. He has written for the newspaper for over 35 years and has published five books, all relating to climate change and other environmental issues. He has lived in Helena, Montana for forty years.

My ideal career is to work as an environmental journalist focusing on endangered species and conservation efforts in South America. Robbins’ writing style is concise and focused, yet his stories convey emotion that is rarely found in scientific writings.
