On Wednesday, February 12th at 6:30 PM I will be attending a lecture by Dr. Ellen Dubois titled “The Surprising Road to Woman Suffrage”. This event will be held in the Welcome Byrum Center on Campus and will feature Dr. Dubois lecturing about women’s political history. I was very interested in attending this event because I have always had an interest in women’s history. After taking two WGS classes, I believe this topic is extremely interesting, and found it enticing that Dr. Dubois has demonstrated that she believes this subject of history should be open for new interpretation and research.
